Our shared goal is to become seen as human beings, worthy of empathy and equality. The current political adversity is fueled by the fact that most Americans do not know trans+ people as such, and this event aims to bridge that cultural gap with openness and honesty.

Suggested age range: Adults and students 11 years old and up! Stories may include content related to medical content, alcohol use, bullying, mental health, and diagnosis.

Feel free to email us at storytelling@603equality.org if you have questions or specific accessibility needs.

STAND UP AGAINST DISCRIMINATION Visibility

  • 1 Granite Place Concord, NH, 03301 United States (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

In New Hampshire, we’re experiencing repeated attacks against bodily autonomy, safety, and identity. Legislators are repeatedly drafting discriminatory policies that have real-world consequences for the lives of Granite Staters. On Friday, February 20th, we have an astounding 4 new proposed bathroom bills, and an alarming proposed piece of legislation that seeks to strike the phrase “gender identity” from state statutes—opening doors for further discrimination and weakening protections for people throughout the state.

Back Off Our Bodily Autonomy

In New Hampshire, our bodily autonomy, private health decisions, and access to health care are still under attack, despite how overwhelmingly unpopular bans and restrictions are amongst Granite Staters.

That’s why we’ll be rallying outside the New Hampshire State House on Thursday, February 19th from 9 AM to 10:30 AM to remind NH state lawmakers to protect our healthcare and to back off our bodily autonomy.

This is a peaceful protest, part of an exponentially growing movement across the country. Come stop by our booth!

A core principle behind NH 50501 and all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events.
